We exist to help families live happier lives by providing engaging and functional allied health services. We place a strong emphasis on empowering children to build self-confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards themselves and the world around them.
Our focus is on equipping parents/carers with the knowledge and strategies to support their child's development.
We believe it is essential for children to have the freedom to simply “be” and engage in unstructured play and exploration. This unstructured playtime allows children to develop creativity, imagination, problem-solving skills, and social-emotional skills.

Neurodiversity-Affirming
Our neurodiversity-affirming approach involves recognising and embracing the natural variation in neurological functioning that exists among individuals. We recognise that differences in neurology are not deficits or disorders, but simply a normal variation in human experience, and we create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of their neurological differences.
We work with individuals to identify and utilise their strengths and abilities, rather than focusing on perceived deficits. Our approach involves understanding and accommodating different communication and learning styles, as well as respecting individual preferences and needs.

Gender-Affirming
Our gender-affirming approach supports and affirms an individual's gender identity and expression. We recognise that gender can be a fundamental aspect of a person's identity and that individuals should be able to express their gender in a way that feels authentic to them, without fear of discrimination or marginalisation.

Our Story
be™ is a family owned business which was founded in 2023 by Liz Garcia, a passionate Speech Pathologist and DIRFloortime® practitioner, assisted by her husband, Jason.
be™ stemmed from Liz and Jason’s successful allied health practice, Beyond Words Therapy Centre (founded in 2015), which serviced the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with clinics in Maleny and Beerwah.
At be™, we have created an environment where children can feel safe, supported, and free to explore their own interests and passions. When children are given the space and freedom to explore their own interests, engage in imaginative play, and express themselves without fear of judgment or criticism, they can develop a sense of autonomy, creativity, and self-confidence. They learn to develop their own sense of identity and learn to trust their own instincts and abilities, which can help them become more resilient and adaptable, and better equipped to navigate the challenges and uncertainties of life.
Our moto at be™ is “be seen, be heard, be you”, and through our everyday actions we seek to ensure that our families feel seen, heard and valued for who they are!
